bug day

the great thing about open source software is that its constantly being updated and improved by its users and developers.

Ubuntu has been come on the largest distros because of this statement. Today there is a global online event planned in which anyone can donate a little bit of time to improve ubuntu. Its called ubuntu bug day, and its a great way to get involved in the linux world. Professional or Not, everyone is welcomed.

Ubuntu Bug Days are actually regular events in the Ubuntu world, and they typically take place on a dedicated Internet Relay Chat (IRC) channel called #ubuntu-bugs.

This week’s Hug Day will focus on Bugs without a package!

After you have triaged or fixed a bug put your Launchpad Id in the last column and set the row’s background to green by adding lightgreen in the first cell of the column after rowbgcolor=. This will let people know that the bug in that row has been hugged.
